WELCOME

The Stillwater Starz is a developmental summer swim team and a member of the Naperville Swim Conference (NSC). A volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit, our mission is to develop confident, capable young swimmers and foster a love of competitive swimming in a safe, supportive, and fun environment.

Our swimmers range from 4-18 years of age, and most are residents of the Stillwater subdivision and other nearby communities in southwest Naperville, Plainfield, and Oswego. For our youngest swimmers, their time on the Starz is often their first experience with competitive swimming. It’s also where many of our returning swimmers, some of whom now swim year-round in club and school programs, got their start. Join us this summer, and find out what fun you can have when we shoot for the Starz together!

Good Morning, Starz Families!

Thanks for picking up your photos this week; we hope you enjoy them! I have two envelopes that were not picked up because families were traveling; I’ll have these at our End-of-Season Celebration on July 27. Feel free to reach out if you’d like to pick them up sooner

Thanks, too, for hanging in there with the rescheduling of our Tuesday meet with Breckenridge. If your swimmer’s availability has changed given the shift in date, please be sure to make this update on our website (or via the SportsEngineMotion app) TODAY at the latest.

You’ll find information on tomorrow’s AWAY meet at Tall Grass, including swimmer and worker lists, at the end of this email. Please review their meet packet carefully; it contains information you’ll need for a stress-free meet morning. First, though, a few other important notes:

Upcoming Deadlines and Events

  1. SATURDAY (TOMORROW): Away at Tall Grass. Look for more details, including swimmer and worker lists, at the end of this email.
  2. SUNDAY: Last day to declare for the Classic Championship meet. Thanks to those who declared early; because of you, we were able to provide meet organizers with the reliable estimate they need. Not sure whether the Classic Championship is right for your swimmer? Please check here to see which is the right meet for your swimmer and/or discuss with Coach Mary.
  3. TUESDAY: Home vs. Breckenridge (rescheduled). All jobs carry over, and the meet timeline will be the same as usual. Please make changes to your swimmer’s status no later than TODAY if his or her availability has changed. More information will be emailed on Monday, including swimmer and worker lists.
  4. THURSDAY: Last day to declare for the City Championship meet. 7/8-11/12 swimmers must have at least one City-qualifying time. If your swimmer earns his or her first qualifying time at Tall Grass or vs. Breckenridge and would like to change from Classic to City, please declare them for City, and email Head Coach Mary to be removed from Classic.
  5. THURSDAY: Championship Week Kickoff party (11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.). RSVP’s were required for this now-closed lunch, craft and games event. This event is DRY; swimmers should wear comfortable play clothes. If your swimmer intends to remain at the pool for this event following his or her practice, he or she must be supervised by a parent, guardian, or another caregiver.
  6. THURSDAY: High School Invitational at Naper Carriage Hill.
  7. SATURDAY: Classic Championship Meet, PM Session. More information will be emailed to participating swimmers and workers throughout the week.

The following swimmers have been declared for this meet. No swimmers can be added at this time. If your swimmer is declared but an illness or emergency prevents his or her participation tonight, please email Head Coach Mary ASAP.
